Technical Lead
Job description
We are partnering with a leading Digital Bank that is expanding its engineering capability in the Philippines. They are building the first Manila-based engineering squad focusing on Lending and Credit Products - covering cash loans, revolving credit, instalments, mortgages and credit cards.
As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and delivery of digital lending products on a modern cloud-native stack. This is a rare opportunity to help build and scale a digital bank from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Architect, design, and deliver lending and credit products using a cloud-native stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Java/Python, Kotlin/Native, Spring Boot).
Collaborate closely with product, design, and business teams to translate lending domain needs into scalable engineering solutions.
Drive best practices across engineering, automation, testing, and cloud operations to ensure high availability and reliability.
Ensure alignment with digital banking standards, security, compliance, and performance requirements.
What We're Looking For
At least 10 years of engineering experience, with solid experience in technical leadership.
Strong domain knowledge in Lending and Credit—cash loans, credit cards, instalments, revolving credit, or mortgage products.
Hands-on expertise in AWS cloud, Kubernetes, Java/Python, Kotlin/Native, Spring Boot, and modern cloud-native engineering.
Experience in digital banking, fintech, or large-scale financial systems.
Ability to manage a small team while contributing directly to architecture, coding, and delivery.
Benefits of Joining
Be part of the founding engineering team of a rapidly growing digital bank in the Philippines.
Highly competitive compensation package of PHP 400,000–500,000 monthly.
Remote-first setup with flexibility (not required to report to the office regularly).
