Lead Technical Business Analyst - Director level

We are seeking a Lead Technical Business Analyst with strong Life Insurance domain expertise and hands-on experience with eBAO InsureMO to support transformation initiatives for a leading life insurance client in Hanoi, Vietnam.

You will bridge business, product, and technology teams, translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. You will lead a team of 6–10 Business Analysts, driving best practices in delivery, stakeholder engagement, and governance.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 6–10 Business Analysts across multiple initiatives

• Provide guidance on requirement elicitation, documentation standards, and solution design

• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and skill development for BA team members

• Establish and enforce BA best practices, templates, and governance frameworks

Business Analysis & Solution Delivery

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for Life Insurance platforms, with a strong focus on eBAO InsureMO

• Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements

• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

• Work closely with architecture, development, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC

• Support system configuration, integration, UAT, and post-implementation activities

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Act as the primary liaison between Business stakeholders, Product Owners, and Technology teams

• Facilitate workshops, requirement walk throughs, and solution design discussions

• Manage stakeholder expectations, scope changes, and prioritisation conflicts

• Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner

Product & Platform Focus (eBAO InsureMO)

• Drive requirement analysis and implementation across eBAO InsureMO modules (e.g. product configuration, underwriting, illustration, policy admin, integrations)

• Partner with vendors and internal tech teams on platform customization and enhancements

• Ensure solutions align with regulatory, compliance, and operational needs of Life Insurance
  

Requirements

• 10+ years of Business Analysis experience in Life Insurance

• Mandatory hands-on experience with eBAO InsureMO

• Proven experience leading and managing a team of 4–6 Business Analysts in the past

• Strong understanding of Life Insurance products, workflows, and regulations

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum / Hybrid delivery models

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills

• Strong ability to bridge Business, Product, and Technology effectively

• Strong documentation skills (BRD, FRD, user stories, process flows, data mappings)

• Experience with system integrations, APIs, and data flows

• Comfortable working with architects and developers on solution design

• Ability to analyse complex systems and propose pragmatic solutions
