Head of Technology Risk
Job description
I am working with a well-known, prestigious financial institution that is accelerating its transformation in Asia. They are investing in next-generation digital capabilities, and are looking to hire a capable technology risk leader to be the Head of Technology Risk and based out of their Singapore hub. This tech risk role is for someone who can be a strategic tech risk partner to technology, business, compliance, and audit leaders to strengthen resilience, governance, and trust.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technology and cyber risk strategy, frameworks, and controls aligned with regulatory TRM and global best practices
Provide independent oversight and challenge across first and second lines for all material technology and cyber risks
Oversee risk governance and regulatory engagement, including regulator liaison, audits, and remediation plans
Evaluate and advise on emerging risks from digital transformation, cloud adoption, and third-party dependencies
Drive operational resilience, incident management, and board-level reporting on key risk metrics
Champion a strong risk culture through awareness, capability-building, and leadership across teams
What You Bring
10–15 years’ experience in technology or cyber risk management within financial services
Deep expertise in IT controls, cybersecurity, cloud, and resilience frameworks
Strong record of regulatory and audit engagement, preferably with regulators in the region such as MAS, HKMA
Proven influencing and communication skills with senior and board stakeholders
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance risk, innovation, and business outcomes
Relevant degree in Information Security, Computing, or Business; certifications such as CISM, CISA, CISSP are advantageous
