VP – Data Scientist
Job description
A fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing AI team of a global financial services company as a founding member and shape the vision and strategy and the team.
In this role, you will design, build, and deploy AI and machine learning models that power personalised wealth journeys, smart investment advisory and data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with digital product teams, engineers, and business stakeholders to scale AI capabilities and embed them into client-facing and internal systems. You will also play a key role in shaping the best practices of the team, establishing governance, and promoting an “AI everywhere” culture across the organisation.
What You'll Do
Develop and deploy ML/AI models for personalization, investment insights, risk scoring, churn prediction and process optimisation.
Build scalable machine learning pipelines and contribute to our MLOps/LLMOps frameworks.
Partner with Front Office, Investment, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Digital teams to integrate AI solutions into daily workflows and client platforms.
Implement strong data quality, governance, monitoring, and ethical AI practices.
Stay current on AI/ML and GenAI advancements and translate research into production-ready solutions.
Support AI literacy, mentoring, and innovation initiatives across the business.
What You Bring
3–7+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience with models deployed in production (financial services or tech preferred).
Strong Python & SQL skills; experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch/Sklearn and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience with GenAI (prompt engineering, RAG, vector DBs, LLM pipelines), MLOps/LLMOps, and CI/CD.
Knowledge of wealth management, investment analytics, or risk/compliance is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Master’s/PhD in a quantitative discipline; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
