Python Software Engineer

Job description

We’re partnering with a top-tier global financial institution to hire a Senior Python Software Engineer for a high-impact, engineering-led team. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to firmwide platforms and tools that directly support thousands of users — from traders and risk managers to security and operations teams.
This isn’t just another software job. You’ll be building critical internal systems, influencing architecture and tooling decisions, and driving engineering best practices in a truly agile, globally distributed environment.

🔧 What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain Python-based platforms and tooling used across the firm

  • Contribute to system architecture, design, and implementation

  • Stay hands-on across the entire SDLC — from planning and coding to testing and deployment

  • Interface with CI/CD pipelines, databases (SQL, NoSQL, Graph), and open-source frameworks

  • Work in a collaborative team environment, focused on engineering excellence

✅ What We’re Looking For
  • Proven Python experience in a production environment

  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals – clean code, testing, documentation

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or TeamCity

  • Experience with relational or non-relational databases

  • Comfort in Linux-based environments and scripting

  • Exposure to Agile development practices

  • Any exposure to AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, LangChain, etc.) is helpful but not required — this is a Python-first, engineering-focused role.

💼 What You’ll Get
  • Salary up to $220,000 + generous bonus

  • Medical insurance and comprehensive benefits

  • A tech-first, engineering-led culture in one of the world’s most respected financial institutions

  • The chance to work on systems with real-world scale and impact
