Head of Tech Ops and Service Management
Job description
Our client, a leading financial institution with a strong presence across ASEAN, is building a new technology function to support its expanding investment and asset management business.
They are seeking a Head of Technology Operations to play a foundational role in establishing this capability from the ground up. This is a newly created opportunity for a senior, hands-on leader to drive operational excellence across production systems, application support, and vendor-managed services — while also shaping practices around SRE, DevOps, and ITSM.
🔧 Responsibilities
Technology Operations & Service Management
Lead day-to-day operations across business-critical applications, infrastructure, and vendor-supported platforms
Define and implement ITSM processes (incident, problem, change management)
Establish and track SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs to ensure high service quality
Act as the key liaison between internal teams, group technology, and external vendors
Site Reliability Engineering & DevOps
Champion observability, monitoring, and automation to reduce downtime
Lead performance tuning, capacity planning, and failover testing
Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability and operability into systems
Application & Data Support
Manage support for investment platforms and core business applications
Monitor and maintain data pipelines for accuracy and availability
Conduct root cause analyses and lead resolution of recurring issues
🧠 What We're Looking For
8–12 years of experience in Technology Operations, SRE, or ITSM roles
In-depth understanding of ITIL, modern DevOps, and observability tooling
Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and service providers
Comfortable leading a small team or operating as a hands-on individual contributor
Background in financial services (e.g., asset management, banking, fintech)
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
💼 Benefits
Base Salary: SGD 180,000 – 240,000 per annum
