Head of Tech Ops and Service Management

Job description

​Our client, a leading financial institution with a strong presence across ASEAN, is building a new technology function to support its expanding investment and asset management business.
They are seeking a Head of Technology Operations to play a foundational role in establishing this capability from the ground up. This is a newly created opportunity for a senior, hands-on leader to drive operational excellence across production systems, application support, and vendor-managed services — while also shaping practices around SRE, DevOps, and ITSM.

🔧 Responsibilities

Technology Operations & Service Management

  • Lead day-to-day operations across business-critical applications, infrastructure, and vendor-supported platforms

  • Define and implement ITSM processes (incident, problem, change management)

  • Establish and track SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs to ensure high service quality

  • Act as the key liaison between internal teams, group technology, and external vendors

Site Reliability Engineering & DevOps

  • Champion observability, monitoring, and automation to reduce downtime

  • Lead performance tuning, capacity planning, and failover testing

  • Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability and operability into systems

Application & Data Support

  • Manage support for investment platforms and core business applications

  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines for accuracy and availability

  • Conduct root cause analyses and lead resolution of recurring issues

🧠 What We're Looking For
  • 8–12 years of experience in Technology Operations, SRE, or ITSM roles

  • In-depth understanding of ITIL, modern DevOps, and observability tooling

  • Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and service providers

  • Comfortable leading a small team or operating as a hands-on individual contributor

  • Background in financial services (e.g., asset management, banking, fintech)

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Base Salary: SGD 180,000 – 240,000 per annum
