Head of Engineering
Job description
A start-up based in Hong Kong in the fine arts industry is currently hiring a Head of Engineering to lead the build out of their technology platform. This platform will be critical in connecting all their services such as domestic/international logistics, warehousing, art exhibitions and private collectors. This platform will provide an array of features and modules to their customers, supported by resilient backend systems.
Role
Collaborate with the Head of Product to design a modular tech solution for diverse services
Selecting the tech stack, ensuring scalability and security
Evaluating the best tools to use with accountability of cost budgets to meet product requirements
Manage a team of engineers, driving best engineering practices, CI/CD and agile practices
Contribute to hands-on coding, testing or other technical tasks when needed
Requirements
Prior leadership and experience managing teams, preferably in start-ups or early stage companies
Strong technical background and able to architect the entire technology ecosystem
Experience in seamlessly integrating external solutions with internal modules
Exceptional communication abilities to liaise with executives and teams effectively
The skill to convert business requirements into technical specifications
