Our client, a leading digital media company, is on the lookout for an exceptional Head of Cloud to join their technology leadership team. In this strategic role, you will head high-performing Platform Engineering teams and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s cloud infrastructure and developer platforms used by engineering teams across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and transformation at scale within a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

 

🔍 What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor the Cloud Platform team, setting the strategic vision and driving operational excellence.

  • Build and evolve a developer platform that enhances productivity, scalability, and security.

  • Oversee multi-cloud architecture (AWS & GCP), ensuring robust governance, security, and cost optimisation.

  • Embed DevSecOps, observability, and performance engineering into the platform’s core.

  • Drive improvements to the developer experience using tools like GitHub, Terraform Cloud, and CI/CD pipelines.

 

✅ What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in software/platform engineering, with 2+ years in a senior leadership capacity.

  • Deep expertise in AWS; GCP experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrable track record in developing secure, scalable, and developer-friendly platforms.

  • Experience with of FinOps, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps, and performance testing.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD toolchains.
