Senior Technology Risk Manager
Job description
Our client, a prestigious financial services institution with over 50 years of global presence across Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the UK, and Europe, is expanding its Technology & Operational Risk team. As part of their ongoing cloud transformation journey, they are seeking a Senior Technology Risk Manager to drive technology risk governance, control assessments, and mitigation strategies across all public cloud platforms.
🔹 Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies and controls to minimise technology and cyber risks.
Lead end-to-end Technology Risk assessments, with a focus on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Partner closely with senior business leaders, global heads, and C-level stakeholders to drive risk mitigation initiatives.
Liaise with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and governance standards.
Mentor and guide the risk management team, promoting a proactive risk culture.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk profiles across business units.
Monitor and maintain the cloud platform risk profile, ensuring effective controls and regulatory compliance.
Identify continuous improvements by staying updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
🔹 What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 15 years of Technology Risk/Cyber Risk experience, with a minimum of 8 years within large banking organisations.
Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and implementation of native cloud security controls.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are essential; AWS/Azure certifications are highly advantageous.
In-depth understanding of the global regulatory environment and risk management frameworks.
Good communication skills with demonstrable ability to engage with senior stakeholders at the group level.
