Product Lead - Retail Payments Platform

Job description

 

A leading financial institution is looking for a Product Lead to drive strategy and agile delivery for its Retail Payments platform. You’ll be leading a cross-functional product team responsible for delivering high-impact solutions across cross-border payments, domestic payment networks, and financial messaging standards such as ISO 20022, SWIFT, Visa, Mastercard, and remittance services.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define and co-own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap with the Domain Tech Lead.

  • Lead delivery of end-to-end payment solutions, prioritizing market needs and aligning with business OKRs.

  • Guide the team through data-driven product decisions, stakeholder feedback, and competitive insights.

  • Manage product planning, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder alignment in an Agile-at-Scale environment.

  • Work closely with engineering, design, and risk teams to ensure quality releases, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.

  • Mentor and manage a team of Product Owners, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Ensure alignment across customer journeys and eliminate delivery blockers.

  • Participate in enterprise planning ceremonies like Big Room Planning and performance reviews.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Expertise in retail payments, cross-border and domestic payment integration, and financial messaging standards (SWIFT, ISO 20022, etc.).

  • Experience working with working with networks such as Visa, Mastercard, and local payment rails.

  • Previous leadership experience managing cross-functional agile teams in financial services.

  • Strategic thinker with a product mindset and ability to produce measurable outcomes.

  • Familiarity with tools like ADO, Confluence, and Clarity for planning and delivery tracking.
