Infrastructure Security Engineer

Job description

​We are hiring an Infrastructure Security Engineer to work with a regional financial institution in Singapore, strengthening its Windows and cloud security posture across a large enterprise environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role within the Group Security function, working closely with platform, network, and operations teams in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You will have direct ownership of Windows security standards, controls, and compliance across on-prem and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Engineer and maintain security baselines for Windows Server environments (on-prem and cloud), including hardening standards and configuration profiles

  • Validate server and platform compliance through regular configuration and access-control reviews

  • Define, implement, and govern access-control processes for Windows systems in line with regulatory and internal requirements

  • Test, implement, and roll out new security rules and use cases, coordinating with infrastructure and operations teams

  • Build automation, reports, and dashboards to provide visibility into compliance, risks, and security trends

  • Support internal and external audits, and partner with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot security-related issues

Requirements
  • 6–10 years of IT experience, with several years focused on Windows security administration

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019), Active Directory, and core networking concepts

  • Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell) to automate security and operational tasks

  • Experience documenting security standards and access baselines

  • Familiarity with configuration management or log-monitoring tools (e.g. Chef, Splunk, or similar)

  • Exposure to at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, M365, or GCP)

  • Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity

  • Microsoft and/or cloud certifications are highly advantageous
