Infrastructure Security Engineer
Job description
We are hiring an Infrastructure Security Engineer to work with a regional financial institution in Singapore, strengthening its Windows and cloud security posture across a large enterprise environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role within the Group Security function, working closely with platform, network, and operations teams in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You will have direct ownership of Windows security standards, controls, and compliance across on-prem and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
Engineer and maintain security baselines for Windows Server environments (on-prem and cloud), including hardening standards and configuration profiles
Validate server and platform compliance through regular configuration and access-control reviews
Define, implement, and govern access-control processes for Windows systems in line with regulatory and internal requirements
Test, implement, and roll out new security rules and use cases, coordinating with infrastructure and operations teams
Build automation, reports, and dashboards to provide visibility into compliance, risks, and security trends
Support internal and external audits, and partner with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot security-related issues
Requirements
6–10 years of IT experience, with several years focused on Windows security administration
Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019), Active Directory, and core networking concepts
Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell) to automate security and operational tasks
Experience documenting security standards and access baselines
Familiarity with configuration management or log-monitoring tools (e.g. Chef, Splunk, or similar)
Exposure to at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, M365, or GCP)
Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity
Microsoft and/or cloud certifications are highly advantageous
