Full Stack Developer - Backend

Job description

A leading global financial institution is building a next-generation, in-house platform to modernise and streamline KYC processes and regulatory workflows. This is a greenfield initiative, leveraging modern engineering practices and cloud-native technologies, offering engineers genuine ownership, visibility and long-term impact.

πŸ› οΈ Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot

  • Model relational data and optimise SQL queries (PostgreSQL or similar)

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies

  • Deploy and operate containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and GitOps

  • Partner with business and compliance teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions

  • Ensure security, reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance across the platform

βœ… Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases

  • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes

  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows (e.g., Argo CD)

  • Solid understanding of backend system design and API development

  • TypeScript exposure

  • Observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana

  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Workflow engines (Flowable, Camunda)

  • Experience in financial services, KYC, or regulatory systems
