Job description
A leading global financial institution is building a next-generation, in-house platform to modernise and streamline KYC processes and regulatory workflows. This is a greenfield initiative, leveraging modern engineering practices and cloud-native technologies, offering engineers genuine ownership, visibility and long-term impact.

π οΈ Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Model relational data and optimise SQL queries (PostgreSQL or similar)
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies
Deploy and operate containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and GitOps
Partner with business and compliance teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
Ensure security, reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance across the platform

β Required Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases
Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
Familiarity with GitOps workflows (e.g., Argo CD)
Solid understanding of backend system design and API development

TypeScript exposure
Observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Workflow engines (Flowable, Camunda)
Experience in financial services, KYC, or regulatory systems
