Product Owner – Payments and Credit Cards
Job description
We’re working with a leading global bank as they scale their Cards & Payments technology teams, and they’re on the lookout for a seasoned Product Owner to lead high-impact delivery initiatives in this mission-critical space.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on end-to-end ownership, understands the complexity of mainframe-based environments, and is excited to help drive digital transformation across the Cards & Payments stack.
What You’ll Do
🔹 Own and execute the product roadmap across Cards & Payments platforms
🔹 Manage delivery across both legacy (COBOL, Z/OS)and modern technology stacks
🔹 Partner with engineering to align business goals with technical delivery
🔹 Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and feature prioritisation
🔹 Support modernisation efforts while maintaining platform stability and compliance
What You’ll Bring
✔️ Proven experience in Credit Cards and Payments systems
✔️ Strong track record of platform delivery in large-scale banking environments
✔️ Familiarity with mainframe technologies (e.g. COBOL, DB2, Z/OS) and modern integration
✔️ Excellent stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional team collaboration skills
✔️ Strategic mindset with a passion for delivering tangible results in complex systems
