Principal Infrastructure Engineer

We’re partnering with a high-performance trading firm in Singapore undergoing rapid expansion. They are seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to lead the evolution of their ultra-low-latency infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role ideal for someone passionate about building robust, scalable, and high-availability systems in a mission-critical environment.

πŸ”§ Responsibilities

  • Architect and enhance infrastructure for ultra-low-latency trading systems across hybrid environments.

  • Lead technical design and drive best practices across Linux systems, networking, observability, and automation.

  • Provide senior-level mentorship and act as a key technical resource across SRE, DevOps, and Network teams.

  • Collaborate with traders, software engineers, and researchers to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives.

  • Champion reliability engineering, infrastructure-as-code, and performance optimisation.

  • Evaluate new technologies and spearhead initiatives to modernise and scale infrastructure platforms.

 

βœ… Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, SRE, or systems engineering roles.

  • Deep expertise in at least two of the following: Linux systems, low-latency networking, public cloud (AWS/GCP), or automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD).

  • Demonstrable ability to lead cross-functional technical projects and mentor engineers.

  • Experience in high-performance or mission-critical environments (finance/trading preferred).

  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Go) and hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructure.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
