NodeJS SME - Manager

Job description

They are looking for a NodeJS Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Manager who will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs.

🛠️ Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of backend services and APIs using Node.js and NestJS

  • Define and enforce best practices in system architecture, secure coding, and database integration

  • Work closely with DevOps and Agile teams on CI/CD pipelines, system design, and deployments

  • Conduct code reviews, unit/integration testing, and maintain high code quality standards

  • Stay ahead of backend technology trends and continuously improve performance and reliability

✅ Requirements

  • Strong experience with Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript

  • Solid background in microservices architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus)

  • Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in Agile environments
