Front Office Engineer – eTrading
Job description
We’re working with a globally renowned Investment Bank who are hiring for an Associate Front Office Engineer to join their FX eTrading team in Singapore.
This is a great opportunity for a mid-level technologist with interests in front office trading environments, to work in a hybrid role that covers DevOps, software engineering and aspects of QA/testing.
You will be working alongside some exceptional front office technologists, with exposure to key business stakeholders and a chance to have direct impact on the PnL!
Responsibilities:
DevOps: Design, implement, and maintain robust DevOps pipelines and infrastructure to support our front office applications and systems.
Software Development: Build front office applications and tools, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Quality Assurance/Testing: Drive quality initiatives by designing and executing comprehensive test plans, automating test cases, and ensuring the reliability and stability of our front office solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in Java or Python programming languages.
Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Understanding of software testing methodologies, tools (Selenium, JUnit), and coding best practices.
Experience working in front office trading environments is strongly beneficial.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to front office business stakeholders.
Salary negotiable between $120,000 and $180,000 depending on suitability and seniority.
