Front Office Engineer – eTrading

Job description

​We’re working with a globally renowned Investment Bank who are hiring for an Associate Front Office Engineer to join their FX eTrading team in Singapore.

This is a great opportunity for a mid-level technologist with interests in front office trading environments, to work in a hybrid role that covers DevOps, software engineering and aspects of QA/testing.

You will be working alongside some exceptional front office technologists, with exposure to key business stakeholders and a chance to have direct impact on the PnL!

 

Responsibilities:
  • DevOps: Design, implement, and maintain robust DevOps pipelines and infrastructure to support our front office applications and systems.

  • Software Development: Build front office applications and tools, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

  • Quality Assurance/Testing: Drive quality initiatives by designing and executing comprehensive test plans, automating test cases, and ensuring the reliability and stability of our front office solutions.

 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Java or Python programming languages.

  • Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Understanding of software testing methodologies, tools (Selenium, JUnit), and coding best practices.

  • Experience working in front office trading environments is strongly beneficial.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to front office business stakeholders.

Salary negotiable between $120,000 and $180,000 depending on suitability and seniority.
