Executive Director - Head of IT Compliance

Job description

Our client is a prestigious financial institution with over 50 years of legacy and a strong presence across Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China. As part of their continued focus on governance and digital resilience, they are looking for a dynamic Executive Director to head their IT Compliance across the group.
This strategic leadership role sits within the Risk Management function, reporting to the Group Head of IT Risk Management and working closely with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO). You will have the rare opportunity to develop and shape the IT compliance framework from the ground up making a lasting impact on the firm’s regulatory and cybersecurity posture.

 

🌟 Responsibilities
  • Develop & Implement Group-Wide IT Compliance Frameworks

    Define policies, governance models, and risk management strategies aligned with regulatory requirements

  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration

    Partner with first-line IT teams and third-line audit functions to embed compliance into operational practices

  • Lead Regulatory Engagement & Audit Management

    Serve as the primary interface for external regulators and auditors; oversee full audit cycles and responses

  • Monitor Compliance & Conduct Risk Assessments

    Design monitoring programs, track compliance metrics, and implement corrective actions

  • Advise and Influence Senior Stakeholders

    Act as a trusted advisor on evolving regulations, risk issues, and best practices championing a strong compliance culture

 

✅ What We're Looking For
  • 15–20 years’ experience in IT Compliance, Risk, or Governance within financial services

  • Proven expertise in regulatory frameworks such as MAS, GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST

  • Demonstrated success in building IT compliance frameworks at the group or enterprise level

  • Evidence ability managing audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership

  • Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and ability to deliver in fast-paced environments
