Data Science Lead

Job description

An exciting role with a global financial services company. You will play a pivotal role in building, deploying, and scaling AI models that transform wealth management services, drive innovation, and enhance client and business outcomes.
🔧 What You'll Do
  • Develop and deploy scalable AI/ML models for personalized recommendations, investment insights, risk modeling, and automation use cases (e.g. KYC/AML).

  • Lead the industrialisation of AI, ensuring models are production-ready, well-monitored, and continuously optimised.

  • Collaborate with leadership to define and implement AI strategy, governance, and ethical frameworks.

  • Work cross-functionally with Front Office, Investments, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to embed AI into strategic platforms.

  • Champion a culture of innovation by mentoring peers and promoting an “AI-everywhere” mindset across the organisation.

  • Ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and responsible AI usage aligned with global standards.

  • Stay ahead of the curve by applying cutting-edge AI techniques, including Generative AI, RAG, and advanced recommendation systems.

🧠 What We're Looking For
  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.

  • 3–7+ years of experience designing and deploying AI/ML models, ideally in financial services or tech environments.

  • Proficient in Python, SQL, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Sklearn), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Solid understanding of MLOps / LLMOps, model governance, and scalable deployment practices.

  • Expertise in areas such as recommender systems, portfolio optimization, risk modeling, and GenAI (prompt engineering, LLMs, RAG).

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Traditional/Simplified Chinese is a plus.
