Chief Information Security Officer

Job description

​We are partnering with a rapidly scaling digital assets firm to appoint a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) based in Hong Kong.
This is a critical executive role overseeing a 24/7, internet-facing trading platform and its supporting systems. The CISO will lead the firm’s global cyber and information security agenda, working closely with senior leadership, engineering, and product teams to enable secure growth in a highly dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

  • Define and drive the enterprise-wide security strategy, policies, and roadmap, aligned with business and technology priorities.

  • Lead core security domains including cloud & infrastructure security, application security, IAM, SOC, and incident response for a high-availability platform.

  • Establish strong security governance, risk management, and regulatory/standards alignment, including third-party and vendor risk.

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing, multi-region security team, influencing senior stakeholders on risk-based decisions.

  • Embed security-by-design across the SDLC, ensuring appropriate controls for customer data, trading services, and internal systems.

What We're Looking For

You are an experienced security leader with:

  • 12+ years in information security and technology risk, including senior leadership roles (Head of Security / CISO) within digital, fintech, or tech-led organisations.

  • Strong experience securing cloud-native, large-scale, internet-facing platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar).

  • Solid knowledge of security frameworks and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, data protection regimes).

  • A proven track record of building and leading diverse security teams and communicating effectively with executive and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments, balancing risk, commercial priorities, and user experience with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset.
