In this role, you will play a crucial part in fortifying the bank's comprehensive cybersecurity infrastructure and safeguarding its extensive digital environment. Your Role:
Provide expertise in cybersecurity, supporting strategic planning and development across various forums and working groups.
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to stay ahead of evolving security threats.
Collaboratively work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical business functions, ensuring alignment with security objectives.
Develop and document security procedures and processes, tailoring them to specific organizational needs.
Engage in Risk Management Framework activities, contributing to system life-cycle support plans, operational procedures, and training materials.
Play a key role in educating project teams about security concerns and remediation strategies.
Perform thorough security reviews, identifying gaps in security architecture, and recommend strategies to mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity guidelines and evaluate security designs for adequacy.
Participate in Risk Governance processes, providing insights on security risks and technical risk mitigation.
Uphold the highest standards of ethics, regulatory conduct, and compliance, staying informed about industry developments such as NIST, OWASP, GDPR, and PCI
Requirements:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience/certification.
Preferred SABSA certification.
Desirable ISACA certifications (CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT) or CISSP, GSEC, or equivalent.
At least 8 years of experience in Cybersecurity & Technology.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively.
Critical thinking skills and the ability to approach problems from a threat actor's perspective.
Proficiency in applying cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
A comprehensive understanding of cyber issues and their organizational impact.
Experience in developing policy plans and strategy in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards.
Salary: $210k (Negotiable)
