Global Head of Security Operations Centre

Job description

The Global Head of Security Operations Centres (SOC) and Incident Response (IR) will guide the development, implementation, and management of global security operations and the incident response framework. This job involves overseeing multiple SOC delivery centres across different regions, ensuring that SOC and IR operations meet all the requirements across information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT). The role is based in North Carolina, USA.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global SOC and IR strategies and processes.

  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and maintenance of SOC and IR frameworks.

  • Provide global leadership and support to the SOC and IR management teams.

  • Collaborate with teams across digital forensics, threat intelligence, data privacy, and legal departments to align SOC and IR processes with broader cybersecurity objectives.

  • Translate business needs into security development activities within the client's IT security organization.

  • Manage cybersecurity incident responses and ensure efficient service delivery across time zones.

  • Monitor and optimize SOC and IR processes and systems in collaboration with engineering and delivery teams.

  • Maintain compliance with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Over 10 years experience in operations and incident response, preferably managing global centres.

  • Previous experience in a leadership role with global team management is essential.

  • bring knowledge in SOC and IR strategies, tools, and technologies including SIEM and EDR.

  • Understanding of cyber threats, attack techniques, and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.

  • Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration across various teams.

  • Evidence of good analytical and problem-solving skills adept at addressing complex technical challenges.
