We are seeking skilled and motivated Engineering Lead - Web Applications to join a high-growth digital marketplace that connects millions of customers across Asia to financial services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a cross-functional team of talented engineers while providing technical excellence and delivering scalable, high-performance web applications.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of frontend and backend engineers.
Maintain a hands-on approach, contributing to approximately 70% of the coding efforts.
Design and implement scalable architecture, ensuring code quality and adherence to latest engineering practices.
Collaborate closely with product managers and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
Oversee the design and development of microservices and GraphQL APIs.
Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes to enhance development efficiency.
Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed across the team.
Focus on building high-load, distributed systems with an emphasis on performance and security.
Qualifications
Deep knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js.
Demonstrable experience designing and implementing microservices and GraphQL APIs.
Experience using CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Demonstrated experience in creating high-load, distributed systems with a focus on performance and security.
A track record of successfully leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and providing best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Day-to-Day
Write and review high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
Guide and mentor team members to foster professional growth and technical expertise.
Participate in architecture planning and technical decision-making.
Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
Monitor and improve system performance, ensuring reliability and security.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
