Cyber Defense Lead

Our client, a key player in the financial infrastructure sector, is seeking a Cyber Defense Lead to spearhead their cyber security efforts and protect mission-critical payment and clearing services. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a seasoned cyber security expert passionate about developing strong cyber defenses and leading high-performing teams.

 

🔹 What You'll Work On
  • Define and drive the organisation’s cyber defense strategy across threat and vulnerability management.

  • Lead and mentor a team of cyber security professionals in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

  • Oversee the deployment of innovative security technologies aligned with regulatory and business objectives.

  • Guide new initiatives with secure-by-design principles and risk-based decision making.

  • Manage cyber security budgets and influence long-term investment strategy.

  • Represent the organisation in key internal and industry-facing cyber defense discussions.

 
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • More than 10 years in technology and cyber security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.

  • Strong knowledge of MAS Cyber Hygiene, TRM Guidelines, and the Cybersecurity Act.

  • Experience with frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, and tools like XDR, IAM, PAM, and DLP.

  • Proficiency in hybrid cloud security architecture and modern DevSecOps practices.

  • Recognised certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
