Lead Database Architect
Job description
An exciting opportunity has opened up at a global bank is looking for a Lead Database Architect to join their centralized Architectural team. In this role, you will play a key role leading strategic decisions and influencing business stakeholders for future database roadmaps across the organization.
Your Role
Work in a centralized architectural practice leading all Database architectural practices across the organization
Design highly available Database architecture according to technical requirements by business partners and other stakeholders
Play a key role in developing strategic upgrades and implementation projects to improve availability and resiliency levels.
Identify risks and suggest appropriate mitigation measures.
Designing technical architecture with relational databases and cloud-based database systems.
Requirements:
At least 10+ years of overall experience working in database technology, with at least 5 years of experience in database architecture.
Strong foundations in other Infrastructure concepts such as network and storage.
Experienced in other relevant Data technologies such as ETL pipelines and Data Warehousing.
Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
Experience working with Cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure)
Salary - $250k (Negotiable)
