Our client is a developing VC-backed Digital Asset Trading Platform with groundbreaking technology, allowing it to achieve high frequency trading. They are looking for an AppSec & Cloud Security Specialist to spearhead the application and product security efforts. This role is perfect for individuals proficient in AWS and distributed architectures who are keen to apply their deep knowledge of application security and cloud environments to the evolving needs of blockchain and digital asset exchanges.
This role is located in Singapore, but open to remote candidates.
Your Role:
Guide the integration of security best practices and measures throughout the application development lifecycle, including secure coding, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation strategies.
Oversee the security of our cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on the configuration of IAM policies, security groups, and ensuring the robustness of our AWS environments.
Develop, document, and standardize security protocols and compliance measures tailored to the unique demands of the cryptocurrency exchange industry.
Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify and evaluate security risks. Design and implement robust controls to mitigate identified risks, ensuring the integrity and security of customer data and assets.
Lead penetration testing initiatives, utilizing advanced tools such as Burp Suite and Metasploit to identify vulnerabilities within web applications, APIs, and cloud environments.
Employ security measures specific to blockchain technologies, focusing on Ethereum and related technologies. Ensure the secure deployment of smart contracts and the safeguarding of private chain transactions.
Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in application security or cloud security, with proven experience in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
Experience with Ethereum blockchain, specifically with layer 1 and private chain focuses; familiarity with layer 2 chains (e.g., Velidum).
Proficient in Solidity for smart contracts, with an understanding of web3 architecture and the ability to read and comprehend smart contracts.
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or any relevant AWS certifications will be advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving start-up environment where flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are crucial.
Salary - $200k + Bonuses (Negotiable)
