Senior Network Engineer

Job description

​We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer (up to VP level) for a leading financial services organisation in Singapore, responsible for mission‑critical enterprise and trading networks.
The Senior Network Engineer will lead network operations and engineering across data centre, campus, WAN, and cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring high availability, low latency, strong security, and continuous automation in a fast‑paced, regulated environment. This is a permanent role based in Singapore with responsibilities covering APAC.

Responsibilities
  • Own the day-to-day reliability and performance of enterprise network services across campus, data centre, WAN, and cloud environments in a regulated financial setting.

  • Lead troubleshooting and incident resolution for complex network issues, acting as an escalation point and coordinating with infrastructure, security, and operations teams.

  • Plan and implement network changes and upgrades, ensuring proper risk assessment, testing, documentation, and communication to minimise business impact.

  • Oversee network monitoring, capacity, and configuration practices, including inventory, standards, and lifecycle management to meet audit and compliance expectations.

  • Drive continuous improvement and automation across network operations, working with engineering and security to enhance resilience, security posture, and efficiency.


Requirements
  • 8–12 years of hands-on experience in network engineering/operations, including recent experience in a senior or lead role.

  • Strong technical depth across routing and switching, firewalls, load balancers, data centre networking (e.g. EVPN/VXLAN), and cloud networking on major providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPsec, DNS, DHCP, QoS) and experience with monitoring, configuration, and patch management tools

  • Exposure to automation (e.g. Python, Ansible) to streamline network operations

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP/CCIE) and familiarity with operational frameworks such as ITIL and NIST
