Quality Assurance Engineer

Job description

​We’re currently partnered with a globally recognised technology consultancy looking to hire a QA Engineer on a 1-year fixed term contract.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working across both manual and automation testing within modern Agile engineering environments. You’ll be embedded within cross-functional delivery teams, helping ensure quality throughout the full software development lifecycle on large-scale digital transformation projects.

The Role

  • Perform both manual and automated testing across web applications and APIs

  • Design, execute and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts and product stakeholders to identify and resolve defects

  • Contribute to regression, integration, system and UAT testing activities

  • Support the build and improvement of automation frameworks and testing processes

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Software QA / Testing

  • Strong experience across both manual and automation testing

  • Hands-on exposure with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar

  • Experience testing APIs and modern web applications

  • Understanding of Agile delivery environments and CI/CD workflows

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within collaborative engineering teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience within consulting or client-facing project environments

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP

  • Performance or security testing experience

 

Other information

  • Salaries negotiable up to $160,000

  • Forward-thinking tech environment

  • Flexibility of a one-year contract with high chance of renewal
