Information Security Manager
Job description
A well-established global bank is enhancing its approach to information security, cyber risk and technology risk across its front, middle, and back-office functions. As part of this transformation, the organisation is seeking an Information Security Manager to serve as the key security advisor to business stakeholders and drive uplift in governance, controls, and cyber resilience.
This role of an Information Security Manager is ideal for a hands‑on security leader who enjoys partnering closely with the business to turn regulatory and framework requirements into practical, risk‑based controls that protect day‑to‑day banking operations. It is a permanent role, based in Singapore.
🔍What You'll Do
Act as the primary security partner to business units, translating business objectives into fit-for-purpose information security controls and risk treatments.
Identify, assess, and track information security risks across products, processes, and projects, ensuring issues are documented, prioritised, and remediated within agreed timelines.
Review and challenge technology and business change initiatives (e.g., new systems, vendors, and digital channels) for alignment with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate security incident handling in partnership with technology, operations, and compliance teams — ensuring effective communication, impact assessment, and timely follow-up actions.
Promote security awareness through targeted training, advisory sessions, and active participation in governance forums and business procedures.
✅What We're Looking For
8+ years’ experience in information security, cyber security, technology risk, or related roles within financial services
Strong understanding of information security principles, technology risk, and cyber threats, with hands-on experience applying frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, MAS TRM, or equivalent
Proven track record engaging directly with business and technology stakeholders in a security, risk, or governance capacity
Ability to analyse processes and technical designs to identify gaps, recommend pragmatic solutions, and influence business decision-making
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate security concepts into clear business language
