Cyber Security Engineer

Job description

We are partnering with a fast-growing digital financial services firm that is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen its security engineering, security operations, and technology risk capabilities across cloud-based platforms and core business systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for security engineers who enjoy working across cloud security, threat detection, vulnerability management, and regulatory-aligned controls in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain security controls across cloud and on‑prem environments, including identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, data protection, and application security.

  • Support security monitoring and incident response by triaging alerts, investigating threats, coordinating containment, and helping enhance SIEM/EDR rules and playbooks.

  • Run and track vulnerability management activities (scans, assessments, patch coordination) to reduce risk across infrastructure, networks, and applications.

  • Contribute to security governance and compliance, assisting with control reviews, audit support, policy and standard updates, and alignment to relevant frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, MAS TRM, PDPA).

  • Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to embed security-by-design into projects, CI/CD pipelines, and platform changes.

What You Bring
  • 4–8 years’ experience in cyber security, security engineering, security operations, or infrastructure security, preferably in financial services, fintech, or payments.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS or OCI) and security tooling such as SIEM/EDR, IAM/PAM, vulnerability scanners, and data protection controls.

  • Good understanding of security frameworks and regulations (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, MAS TRM, PDPA or similar) and how to apply them in production environments.

  • Practical exposure to incident response, security investigations, control testing, and remediation activities.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, explaining security issues in clear, business-friendly language.

If you are a Cyber Security Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, regulated environments and wants to work on modern cloud and security stacks, please apply with your CV or reach out in confidence to april@tenten-partners.com to discuss this opportunity further.
